Bituminous Coal
Bituminous Coal which takes 30% of power generation fuel consumption is one of the major power generation fuels with a nuclear fuel.
It is more economical than Oil and LNG and economically recoverable reserves could last 200 years more.
It exists all around the world. However, China, Indonesia and Australia export large portion of Coal because of ease of transportation.
Kospo spends approximately 13 million tons of Coal annually.

Oil
Oil fields exist in the Middle east mainly. The importance of oil is decreasing because of high price
Power generation oil, mainly BC or occasionally Boiler kerosene, takes 8.5% of whole oil consumption.
Kospo spends about 400,000 tons of BC and 10,000 tons of Boiler kerosene a year.

LNG
The importance of LNG is increasing recently as clean fuel. LNG has some merits, in concern with environment reason, which Coal and Oil don't.
Recently, it became more important with LNG fields in Sakhalin, Russia and it could be a solution for North Korea Nuclear program. LNG consumption rises in developed countries also. Kogas monopolizes LNG domestically. KOSPO consumes about 3 million tons of LNG a year.
