Situation of certifications with environment-management system
Domestic (1,104 certifications as of end September 2002)
- Our company : Certification of total power plants including the head office (‘03.12.13)
- Business sector : 191 large capital companies such as Posco, Samsung, Hyundai, LG, etc. with certifications and governmental companies such as Korea District Heating Company, KOGAS, etc. and local self-governing bodies such as Seoul city, etc. are being planned
- As of September 2003, a doubling in the number of local companies with certification since February, 2001
Overseas (36,765 certifications in 112 countries as of December, 2001)
- Japanese electric power companies : starting with Kyushu Electric Power Company in February 1998, currently 10 power plants are certified and the remaining companies are under consideration
- U.S electric power companies : 7 power plants, including Northern Indiana plant, are certified and the remaining companies are under consideration
